HST Eliminated in British Columbia – April 1, 2013

Effective April 1, 2013, the 12% HST will no longer apply on taxable supplies of personal property or services made in British Columbia or to personal property or services imported or brought into British Columbia. Replacing it once again, is the 5% GST, which will be reinstated on this same date.

As with any taxation issues, they tend to be complicated. Please view the online PDF detailing the full HST Transition Rules, for all the particulars on this subject.
